Zinc and Vitamin E supplements ?


are zinc and vitamin e ( supplements ) supposed to be good for the skin ?

a few months ago i took 1 zinc tablet and 2 vitamin e supplements daily for 2 weeks and my skin was really good. since i've stopped taking them my skin looks like crap again .

what other supplements are meant to be good for the skin ?

My brother's doctor put him on vitamin E several years ago to help keep his heart healthier after he had a heart attack. It is an anti-oxidant, along with some others, and he has taken them for years with no side affects. You definitely don't want to take too much but I don't think 1 or 2 a day, depending on their strength, is going to hurt you that much.

I've included some links below for you to study. I do know that vitamin A and vitamin D can be toxic if too much is taken so study up on your vitamins before taking any of them and use them within the guidelines suggested.

I now buy Shaklee vitamins because they are all natural and not diluted like OTC ones are or rancid from sitting in some warehouse for months on end.

vitamin E is not water soluble, so your body will continue to accumulate it. i don't know how much you took, you may be poisoning yourself with 2 weeks of vitamin E.

zinc is good for sperm production. just do some research online, you will find out

so in conclusion, don't take those vitamins if you don't need them, they can be harmful to your body

Vitamin E is soluble in Human body with parsley and selium and one tablet a day is advisable with meals and Vitamin E is good for skin allergies.Vitamin C is also good for skin softness.

Zinc is benefical to take for a healthy immune system, wound healing, and sense of taste and smell. Vitamin E is benefical for your immune system, brain function, heart, eyes, lungs, skin cancer, and it promotes healthy skin and hair.

I take 25mg of zinc and 1,000 IU daily along with my other supplements. You are fine in the amounts you were taking and should start them up again.

Zinc helps us absorb vitamin A ( beta carotene) good for the eyes, also is an antioxidant.
Vitamin E is helpful, but should be taken carefully, make sure you get the natural and not the synthetic.
Natural is the d-cofferial( spelling off slightly)
Synthetic is the dl-cofferial

FYI metal such as Zinc are best taken at night.

vitamins A,C,&E are known to be good for the skin. vitamin e is an anti-oxidant which makes your skin look vibrant. selenium, a mineral, is also an anti-oxidant. over-the-counter vitamins contain complete set of vitamins such as A,C,E and selenium. i advise you to continue your vitamins because it's your defense from variety of diseases.
