Is vitamin Zinc good for childeren?

I'v heard that vitamin Zinc helps for growth in childeren, is it true? and up to what dosage I can give to my son who is 9 years old. ( he is short for his age and I am trying to help him).

zinc is essential for children and adults. It is best to get it in natural foods but if a supplement is needed, I would get a supplement especially formulated for children- here is a website that gives you more information about zinc, what foods it is found in and what the best doseages for children and adults is- it breaks it down in age levels.
I hope this helps :

Zinc is VERY VERY GOOD.

It will keep their immune system stronger than ever.
I take it and the flue to me is the same as a common cold. I kick it all quickly, and never stay home in bed.

i would give them the recomended dosage, about one to two vitamins a day. But double check with a doctor, But I do know that Zinc is AWESOME

zinc is a mineral you could start feeding him foods rich in minerals and vitamins sweet potatoes is a great one has more beta carotene than broccoli

Zinc isn't a vitamin, it's a mineral. To be completely technical, it's an element. Semantics aside, yes, it has been shown to help support your immune system. Zinc has not shown any benefit in assisting with height.

"Zinc metal is included in most single tablet over-the-counter daily vitamin and mineral supplements. It is believed to possess anti-oxidant properties, which protect against premature aging of the skin and muscles of the body. In larger amounts, taken as zinc alone in other proprietaries, it is believed by some to speed up the healing process after an injury"

10 MG is the max RDA of zinc for a child.

Zinc is a mineral and vital for health and well being. There are 39 other essential nutrients that are also necessary for optimal growth and well being. Whole grains and other nutrient rich foods are the best way to give him the things he needs for growth. Centrum Jr. is a good kids multi if you want to try that route. Avoid white sugar and flour and products made from them.
