Do i need a Yellow fever jab?

I'm going on a cruise of the Panama canal do i need a jabe for yellow fever?

Ask your GP what jabs are required. He will order them and administer them for you.

sure get em all

I would. Yellow Fever can be fatal, or cause damage. In other words "Better Be Safe Than Sorry"

Yes-if you don't, you won't be allowed ashore on any of The Virgin Islands. Plus you won't be protected of course

Contact your public health department. They can tell you for sure.

Yellow fever vaccinations are recommended by the WHO for travellers to Panama, especially if you plan to visit the Province of Darien in the south. Remember that if your cruise takes you to any other countries who are free of yellow fever after you visit Panama, they may not let you land without a valid yellow fever certificate. Also the international yellow fever certificate only becomes valid 10 days after your injection, so allow plenty of time before your holiday to arrange vaccination. Other recommended vaccinations are Hepatitis A (and possibly B), typhoid and tetanus. Also be aware of malaria risk, although it is minimal in the area of the canal, but check if you are visiting other areas of the country.Your best source of up-to-date advice is your local travel clinic.

It sounds like an amazing trip, and you will enjoy it best if your health is protected. Bon voyage!
