Where did yellow fever come from?

Where did yellow fever come from?

i agree with the first answer. yellow fever is a hemorrhagic disease caused by an arbovirus trasmitted from a mosquito bite. this is common in africa and south america

Yellow fever is nothing but jandies . Jandies caused due to mosquto bite

yellow fever is jaundice. no doubt. but, sorry coz i think it's not bcoz of mosquito bite. there r 3 types of jaundice: hemolytic, hepatic and obstructive jaundice.

hemolytic jaundice is caused by excessive hemolysis of rbcs in the body that liver is unable to conjugate all the bilirubin formed from the hemolysis, thus the unconjugated bilirubin will accumulate in d body and cause the discoloration of the skin n sclera.

hepatic jaundice occurs when the liver is infected n cant produce enough enzyme to convert the insoluble bilirubin to the soluble form.

obstructive jaundice is due to obstruction in the biliary duct of the liver which blocked the passage for bilirubin to be secreted in the bile duct so it will pass back to the body.

abt ur question of where it comes from...what i can say is it's a symptom of other disease related to hemoglobin..n not originated from some places and being transmitted like hiv, malaria etc.
