Where can i get a yellow fever injection?

I am leaving for Kenya next week and my GP practice is too busy doing flu jabs. Can I go anywhere else for this injection?

Have you actually tried your surgery >>?? you should have had this injection weeks ago in preparation as it may make you ill for a few days .
Any one of the nursing staff will give you this injection , but I suspect the problem may be them obtaining the vaccine specially for you .
Ask a pharmacist if they can get it for you , it will cost , and then I am sure one of the nurses will fit you in as an emergency , again at a cost .

There are clinics that specialise in these. You obvioulsy have to pay. Check Yellow Pages.

Look around for an international medicine vaccination clinic.

Enjoy Kenya! I lived there for a while and really enjoyed it. It's a beautiful country and the people are lovely. I'm very jealous right now.....

I'm surprised your GP is to busy to do this as you are in fact going private as this Jab is not usually available on the NHS, You would have to pay a fee for this.

Google yellow fever vaccine`s, there are a few places where you can get this done.

british airways travel clinic, not sure where they are located but u could search for it.

When you phone your GP, ask for the practice nurse and not the doctor. Will cost you around 拢42.

Otherwise try the Shakespeare Travel Clinic and Yellow Fever Centre which has many years experience in the travel clinic and yellow fever centre business, and focuses on providing comprehensive pre travel health advice, travel jabs and holiday vaccinations including yellow fever vaccinations at competitive prices to business and holiday travellers throughout Wigan and the northwest.

They do Yellow fever, but depends on how long and where your going in Kenya, Nairobi and Mombassa have low risks of yellow fever so if it a short trip no need to have it as its not a requirement for Kenya just recommended. If travelling long term, out of cities, or to other countries in Africa then have it.
