Can i get in Ghana without a valid Yellow fever certificate? |
Hi I fly to ghana in 11 days, but can't get an appointment for the nurse until the friday which would give me only 8 days protection. Ghana is in the endemic yellow fever zone in Africa and they require a valid yellow fever certificate for all travellers. As you know the certificate only becomes valid 10 days following vaccination. There are a large number of private travel clinics throughout the UK and they can usually give you a quick appointment. Try a search on www.yell.com for your area. Alternatively, one of the biggest travel clinic chains is MASTA here is their website, they have clinics all over the country - Ring up liverpool school of tropical medicine..they may advise I got jabs at heathrow surgery when I worked there.
