Yeast Infections!!??!??!?

I have had a never ending yeast infection for almost a year now. I am so sensitive down there that it has gotten to the point where I cant do anything that I used to anymore. Getting graphic...30 seconds into wearing a tampon I feel the yeast infection starting, everytime before I get my period I feel it coming on again, whenever I wear a thong, if I eat anything sweet. No matter how many vitamins I take, all the yeast creams in the world, the best diet I'm on, nothing seems to work!!!! I can not live like this anymore, it cant be normal to get it this much! I have gone to doctors and they just give me pills to treat yeast (that barely work). And I can NEVER even attempt to have sex because that gives me extreme yeast infections. My older sister has been suffering from this for about 4 years now, and I just started a year ago.. but no one in our family has ever had it. Whats wrong with us?? Is it genetic?? or something in our body producing way too much yeast? I am desperate, help!

Are you sure it's a yeast infection? There are other infections that can be mistaken for a yeast infection (bacterial vaginosis for one). If you are self medicating and it's not really a yeast infection, then you could be creating your own personal strand of superyeast, that will be more resistant to traditional antifungal medications used to treat yeast infections.

Anyway, it is possible that you have too much yeast in your body overall. Go to a natural health food store such as Wild Oats or the Whole Food Market and ask them for something to help this. Also, taking Acidophilus and AZO Yeast might help. Both of these contain probiotics that are essential to digestive and vaginal health.

dont wear tampons, dont douche, dont wear thongs or tight clothing... there is definitely something that is irritating your vagina. once you figure out what it is, you stop it and youll stop the infections... but im not a doctor... you should talk to your gynecologist or get a new one

see a different doctor for this.
tell them the pills dont help.

certain types of clothing my mother always told us girls to let it breath at night so go to bed bottom less or just wear nothing but cotton underwear thongs are also not goo if your infections are that repetitive also have the doc check you for any sexually transmitted disease because this can play a big factor

This used to happen to me until I found out I have Diabetes. I know some other girls this happens too. The best thing I do about it is eating Yogurt. I hope this help a little. Good Luck.

I believe what is happening... and it gets very stressfull. I have the same problem, and I get very nervious when I try to have sex since I get afraid to have the infeccion. just remember to use 100% cotton pantys not thongs, not tampon since it gets worst. Check with another doctor too... I am getting my test for the diabities too... since I've have gotten it all year long.
