Yeast infections.?

how am i to be sure i have one? it has been extremely itchy in and out for about 2 days and it hurts to wipe myself and a bit when i pee. there's not a huge amount of cheesy discharge though, just a bit of white stuff.
also, if my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex last night (i'm on the pill) can he also get it? even if he has no symptoms should he get treated?

finally, can i get over the counter stuff even though i haven't been diagnosed by a doctor for it?

You either have a yeast infection or UTI. If you have a yeast you can pass it to your bf. I have had one and he never got it, so it all depends on how lucky you are. You can get over the counter stuff at CVS try the Monistat. If this does not clear up in 5 days to a week. Go see the Doctor you might need something with more power like Diflucan. I get them a lot in the summer and he gave me my own prescription. If its a UTI you need antibiotics right away it effects your kidneys. When you have a UTI is really really hurts to pee.

Hi well i had the yeast infection and i went to the doctor i had diabetes and since i had a very high sugar that why i got the yeast infection there attractive to sweet and dark places he told me to use monistan 7 its like injections with out the needle you can get it at walmart i assure you it would go away i thought that it would go away by itself but i was wrong i had it for 5 days and it wouldn't go away i finally went to the doctor got monistan 7 and the second or third day you feel so much better i mean better you should tried monistan or i would also advice you to go to the doctor the yeast infection can be another problem causing it or maybe not i hoped i help you
