Multiple yeast infections in a short time...something worse?

I have had four yeast infections and three bacterial infections in the last four months....and yes, i know that the meds from one can offset the other and whatnot....at one time, i had both infections at the same time and took the medications for them concurrently, as prescribed by the doctor.

I'm afraid that something worse could be going on since i have never had anything like this happen to be before and nothing has changed for me (diet, exercise, sleep, clothing choices). I'm not pregnant and i've been tested to make sure i'm not diabetic. What else could be causing this?

that happened to me repetitive take the meds it comes back in like 1 to 2 weeks i know it sucks. For me it was the high sugar intake i had i drank pop and ate candy her and there. as soon as i stopped. I have been infection free for 7 months sugar intake will trough you off balance so bad! but also you could be eating to much bread or if you drink, they all have yeast in them just be carefull what you eat. and it could be a change in soaps..( laundry, body lotion and change in the type of undies aswell anything can triger it. but i had the same problem and the doc never really helped they said i was to warm down there but it wasnt the answer it was high sugar in take hoped this helped and your not alone.

Well, if you are seeing a doctor then I am going to assume that you have been tested recently for stds. The only thing I can reccomend is to get tested for them if you have not. Take showers and not baths. DO NOT douche or use any kind of fragranced sprays or deodorants down there. Wear cotton or cotton lined panties. Dont wear panties when you are sleeping to allow some airflow. Make sure you urinate before and after having intercourse. If you have one, make sure your partner is exercising appropriate hygiene during foreplay and intercourse. Your partner may need to see the doctor as well to be treated for these things, because you 2 may be passing it back and forth, so use condoms in the mean time. Keep seeing the doctor until this is figured out and good luck. Some women are just prone to these types of issues, and there may not be much you can do about it.

Ask your doctor for a benign, therapeutic acidic vaginal jelly. Once my doctor explained the balance of a healthy vagina and gave me this type of product, I have been able to keep myself free from any infections for over 25 years. Talk about happy! I always keep this stuff on hand just in case!

I'm not affiliated with this company. But you might want to print out the product details and hand it to your doctor. That's what I had to do when I changed docs. I hope it helps you as much as it did me!

This is cut & pasted from the ad:

Acid Jelly Therapeutic Vaginal Jelly from Hope Pharmaceuticals acts to restore and maintain normal vaginal acidity -- the body's natural defense.

Acid Jelly is indicated as adjunctive therapy where restoration and maintenance of vaginal acidity is desirable.
