Re-occuring yeast infections after intimacy with boyfriend, how can I prevent this?

Everytime I am intimate with my boyfriend I get a yeast infection, I really think it is because he uses his saliva as a lubricant when I dry up. What do you think? How can I prevent these yeast infections from occuring? We use protection everytime as well.

Are you absolutely positive it is a yeast infection? Have you gone to the doctor and had it diagnosed? Perhaps you are allergic to latex. For now, try using water based lubricant instead of saliva. If you still have problems afterward, try using a non-latex condom. If you still have problems, see your doctor.

i have a close friend who is slightly allergic to latex condoms, she gets this problem as well. she uses NON latex condoms with her husband.
i recommend trying REAL lubrication being kept next to the bed.
you may be very sensitive.
i would also recommend that you eat more yogurt. it seems to help thousands of women to balance the body.

i don't think that you can really prevent this, but i would suggest going to your doctor and telling them. most likely you will have to take an antibiotic afterwards.

tell him to stop using his saliva and get some lube! also you should go see the doctor and get a check up and make sure its nothing more serious.

Change your diet and lifestyle to that of a raw vegan lifestyle that is low fat and no salt. There will be no more yeast infections otherwise called candida. Condoms can make it feel worse due to a latex allergy but doesn't cause it. Neither does the saliva cause the yeast infection but rather irritates the tender membranes.

Raw vegan living is the way to go if you want to be yeast free for the rest of your life. I'm 10 years without even one at this point and I used to be in the same situation your are posting about with the same questions. I can use condoms and his saliva with no problem anymore. Hope this helps!

More than likely he has a male yeast infection or possibly an oral yeast infection. Yeast infections can be sexually transmitted so you'll want to make sure he gets treated as well.
