X-rays and breastfeeding? |
I have a dentist appt. coming up and i know it is time for my x-rays, can i get them if i am nursing? You can have x-rays when you are breastfeeding. im not really sure but you should just consult with your dentist to make sure. External radiation sources such as X-rays do not contaminate the body and thus pose no risk for breastfeeding. Yep. Although the dentist and his staff will use their professional judgement as to whether or not you need xrays at your next visit, you can always wait until the following one (in 6 months)if all looks well... and chances are you probably won't be breast-feeding any more by then... |

They do x-rays just like chest x-rays only it will be of your head in the sinus areas. They are looking for air spaces, infections and abnormalities that might need surgery.
