Orthodontics treatment..., Do retainers and x rays included in the treatment or not?

I want to know whether retainers cost is included in the ortho treatment. My ortho said he will charge $450 for retainers after the treatment.

and also I want to know if we go to an ortho do they take x rays for free there itself or do we have to go out and pay money which is not included in the treatment.

My ortho said it costs Approximately $200 to get all the xrays done since he doesn't have that facility. And only one time you have to get x rays. He said in some cases 2 times. Is that true?

Depends on where ur xrays are done...ours only cost $40.....and yes, we got them before the orthodontia treatment, and then again, afterwards. Our retainers were included in our total price, but that probably varies with orthodontists. But, if we lost a retainer (which did happen twice), there was a charge for replacing it, and that's only fair. You will be thrilled to have lovely teeth! Happy for you:)

I don't know about the retainers, but I went for an orthodontic eval yesterday and they took x rays and all that other good stuff. Being that I consented to the x rays, I was pretty much saying I was starting treatment and the price of that was included in with the treatment. If I decide not to get treatment, I will have to pay $250.
