When having x-rays...? |
specifically orthodontist x-rays (i.e xrays of the jaw and teeth) are you allowed to be wearing earrings? or any other metal? no- it will show up on the films and can sometimes look like something else that may lead to misdiagnosis. No. you have to remove any jewellery beforehand Not on your face, they'll ask you to remove them before you get them taken. Anything below the neck their not going to care about b/c it won't reflect off of the xray. all jewellery must be removed no No you cannot wear earrings or facial jewelry as the radiation does not pass through it and you will get blank White marks on the radiograph's. Probably a good idea to remove your earrings as they may show up and obscure an important part of the image. Neckless should be OK. If you have an jewelry peircings on the face, leave them off too. It would be a good idea to leave them off your body permanently, but that's another discussion. No you can't wear earrings or any other metal. And if you have a sweatshirt on they'll make you take it off. You have to remove anything metal on your head and neck otherwise the xray has big earring etc shapes on it and you can't see the teeth! no, like hospital xrays, if you are wearing jewellery or anything metal, all you can see is that item! it is better to remove earings and nose jewellery as well as necklaces so that they do not make shadows on the xray and cause concern for something that is not there. |
