Stabbing pain in my wrist? |
A few days ago I started to get sharp pains in the side of my right wrist. Very noticable when I'm gripping something or moving my fingers. No numbness or tingling in the fingers, no pain in the palm of my hand - so I've more or less ruled out carpal tunnel. I don't have any of the other symptoms of C.T., and the pain isn't in the correct area of the wrist. Carpal tunnel is the most likely culprit, but you say you have ruled it out. well i dont think u have ruled out Carpal tunnel syndrome. ur job puts u at risk for the same. have u done the tinel and phalens tests ? they are simple tests that u can do sitting at home. see the links below to know the correct way to do these tests. Well, I wouldn't rule out carple tunnel so fast from what you are describing that is what is sounds like. You don't neccesarily have to have numbness or tingling in your hand. I have had carpal tunnel for five years now in both wrists and I have never had numbness or tingling. Try this website and see if it sounds like what you are experiencing...if so get to a doctor who then can tell you what your options are. Good luck I hope you feel better soon and God Bless! |
