How do I manage wrist pain? |
I have a problem with the ligaments in my wrist after an injury three years ago. I've been to the doctor and been told that there wasn't much that could be done. It's not usually too much of a problem except towards holidays when I do alot of playing music in concerts and such. This makes my wrist very painful and slightly swollen, and recently paracetamol has stopped working cause I've been taking it alot. Any ideas how I could help it to hurt less? (given that not playing isn't an option) Ice it, and perhaps an epsom salt soak would help. You can also wear a wrist brace to bed. Sometimes that helps me. Good luck, and feel better. :) Here's what I would do, buy emu oil and that should reduce the swelling, buy a magnetic necklace and when you go to bed at night wrap it gently around your wrist this should reduce the pain. Don't forget to wash the necklace everyday in dish soap to prevent rash. |
