How do I heal my hurting wrist?

I think i hurt my left wrist by typing too much on the computer. Is there anything to heal it...or something that can prevent "injuries" from typing too much?

I've had a lot of homework lately and my class demands typed essay and whatnot. I have the pad thing already. Maybe its too low? And i use my right hand to "do my business"

Raise your hands when you type, so your wrists aren't bent down. You can get a foam pad to keep them up. Place it in front of the keyboard.

Soak your wrists in hot water, use the asper-creme, and try wrist strengthening exercises like crumpling up newspaper with each hand by itself, squeezing a tennis ball, etc.

Drink black cherry juice by Knudsen's. It really works.

And make sure you get enough calcium, magnesium, potassium in your diet.

cut them off.... and tell marcia.. so she will tell everybody else...

One of those gelly wrist guards might help.

As you seem to have found out, the human hand is not made to use computer keyboards, especially over extended periods. There is not really much you can do except allow time to take its course. You have either strained the small muscles in your wrist or inflamed the corpal tunnel area, which can be eased by using pain relieving gels. Most people keyboards are placed on top of a table which is too high, Your keyboard should be closer to your lap area! They have riser pads to go under your wrist and also wrists braces to help those who need to over use the keyboard.

you are going to the wrong sites man

sounds like you may have carpul tunnel. you may want to try to start by soaking your wrists in epsom salts, and then go to the store and buy a wrist brace or buy an elastic bandage.also dont use your keyboard as much. try resting your wrists more often.
