Sore wrist - has anyone the answer?

Hi all,

From time to time my wrist gets really sore and painful to move my hand or twist my wrist around.

It comes and goes... but as far as I know I can't remember doing it an injury.

Has anyone any suggestions?!

Sophia

hmm I'm still laughing at the guy that asked if you had a bf...lol naughty naughty man.. anyway my first suggestion is to check with you doctor. Another thought that comes to mind is maybe you're doing a lot of typing on the keyboard or doing a lot of excessive things with your hands where its putting stress on your wrist. Like I said I'm not sure, not a doctor at all...good luck to it all...if it is typing you should use one of those pads that you place under your wrist while typing...good luck *smile*

Have you got a boyfriend?

dont know how old you are. or how long tou have had it for, have you tried some antiinflam eg ibuprofen ( dont use it if preg, asthma or suffer with indigestion)

happens to me when i write alot.

try getting a long cloth and wrap it around your wrist, so it like like a injury, make it tight (not too tight so the blood flow stops) and wrap it so your hand doesn't more, leave it overnight and it should be ok. dip your wrist in warm water before you wrap it up

try putting ice on it and take advil or some kind of pain killer that has all ways worked for me.

It could be carpal tunnel syndrome. I suffer this myself, try using a support bandage, but only when it hurts, and wear it at night, too.

Go to a bucher shop, (or online) and but meat tenderizer, (a powder or liquid) and mix it with 2 parts water, then take spicy musterd (the german kind) and mix some in there, rub it on your wrist and the pain will go away, the tenderizer and the musterd soften your muscles and relax them, just BEFORE you do this, test it on your arm to make sure the musterd doesn't irritate you.

(Hope I helped!)

See your gp is the short answere.

Loads of people have wrist problems, generally made worse or even brought on by using rsi equip, gell filled mouse mats, wrist pads and supports etc.

Bin these for week, see how you feel.
perform some basic exercises for your wrists.

move hand back and forth as far as possible, holding in eash position for a few seconds, do the same for side to side movements..... then rotate the hand getting full range of circular motion of the wrist.

see how it goes....
