Broken wrist therapy?

I broke my wrist and had to have 4 pins put in, they were removed today with the cast. My doctor sent me home with out any support , didn't tell me to change the dressings or what kind of exercises i should start doing. Well i bought a support from wal-greens along with clean steryl pads and tape for the wounds. I have a 1 year old at home and the thought of him hurting me is very likely. Have you had a injury like this? What are some good execises i can start doing to get my wrist back to normal?

i broke broke both bones in my arm ...right at the wrist (simple fracture --clean breaks) and had 3 pins put in for 2 months.....they were removed (not fun) and the doctor told me to let my pin removal sites heal for about 2 weeks...

....typically your hands are the most used part of your body and you will learn to flex the wrist without even thinking. I have nearly full function in my wrist now...and I too was never told to work on any excerises.

...I do remember (6 years ago) ...that I would find myself using the other hand to flex the healing wrist....(up, down, side to side ...etc ) too keep things loose...and as time passed i was able to keep the mobility with little rehab.
