Broken wrist therapy? |
I broke my wrist and had to have 4 pins put in, they were removed today with the cast. My doctor sent me home with out any support , didn't tell me to change the dressings or what kind of exercises i should start doing. Well i bought a support from wal-greens along with clean steryl pads and tape for the wounds. I have a 1 year old at home and the thought of him hurting me is very likely. Have you had a injury like this? What are some good execises i can start doing to get my wrist back to normal? i broke broke both bones in my arm ...right at the wrist (simple fracture --clean breaks) and had 3 pins put in for 2 months.....they were removed (not fun) and the doctor told me to let my pin removal sites heal for about 2 weeks... try doing 12 ounce curls ,about 12 aday(budwiser) Your physician/surgeon may have given you instructions. He/she should have given you instructions, verbally (telling you what you should do. and tangibly (a printout of continued care). Please call the office tomorrow and ask for specific instructions. Your surgeon/physician should have given you complete instructions concerning your rehabilitation. |
