Teacher saw cuts on my wrist? 15yo girl? |
A teacher saw some cuts on my wrist (self-inflicted) and asked about them. I said thy were from blackberries but I don't know if she believed me. Most teachers somehow know I had a few problems (depression, Fights with my parents, an eating disorder) last year and this one in particular as she's the "girs adviser". What will she do, do you reckon? Yeah, I do have a S**t life actually. I've been hit by boith parents, my dad cheated on my mum adn i hear about it everyday, my sister is heavily favoured, I have signs of bipolar, fit the diagnostic criteria for anorexia and nearly bulimia, i get bullied for being intelligent (smartest /in my year) and i had/have depression.I believe they qualify as problems She will do the right thing for you, I hope. She is obligated by morals and by law to report this to a guidance counselor. The guidance counselor is then reported by law to either informally observe you or ask about you, or invite you to have a one-on-one. Don't worry - there are a lot of hoops to go through before any true formal intervention takes place, or parents are contacted. If I was her, I'd tell your parents. Im sorry, i dont want this to come off the wrong way, but your only 15. Your life cant be as bad as you think it is cause 15 year old females seem to blow just about everything out of the water. Everyone fights with their parents, and has some kind of "eating dissorder" but you just need to get a grip and not do that anymore, then your problem of people finding out would be over. Honestly, people do notice, and people wont necessarily feel pity for you, they will just think you are crying for attention. If you feel likes this, it might be a blessing in disguise! Please don't listen to people who belittle your problem. Mental health can affect anyone of any age!! Why don't you speak to this teacher? after all shes already noticed and will be worried for your sake, it'll be easier then coming out with it, out of the blue to someone who might be oblivious! Going to her for help and advice will show that you aren't just seeking attention..but have a real problem!! you can get through this honestly, You just need the help and support of others!! The teacher may take action. Shes supposed to, but it doesn't mean she will. Sounds like though, you should start living for yourself. If you have good grades and such, you should start preparing yourself for your future. Do that and you'll be introduced to decent people to be in your life. You won't need to depend on the people around you. You can do well for yourself and say screw the rest. You can't change your parents and your sister can't particularly help that your parents favor her. So instead of hurting yourself, prepare yourself to get out of that situation. Educate yourself to help other girls like you. That will be the biggest slap in the face to everyone thats hurt you and its possible for you even if it seems like its not. Just take things one day at a time. Don't listen to any boys that say they can fix your problem. Just rely on yourself, set some goals, and when its time get the hell out of there. Good Luck. If your teacher does what she is supposed to do and exercises good judgement (not believing the blackberry story) she will report what she saw to the counselor, who will report this to someone who can help you. You sound like you've got a lot to deal with and it may be time to stop trying to do it on your own. A little help from the mental health community could be beneficial, especially if you are anorexic and bipolar. go to churcdh turn to God and pray for deliverance i promise you will come out of this ok There are reasons why you are struggling, it's not your fault and you are not alone. This can work out for your good because GOD wants you better and maybe your parents really need serious help, at least you'll be a functioning adult if you take time now and stop blaming yourself. ( So cool your at the top of your class.. that's somethng to be proud of! ) |
