Could I have OCD?

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
I have certain "things" that I'm obsesive about such as, my food HAS to be separated in sections, so that the vegetables don't mix, you get the idea. There's sounds that will drive me nuts, make me have a fit and get very irritable such as metal on metal, or when someone bites their fork or spoon.
I go into fases, sometimes I can't stand the sight of a certain fruit.
Now, that's just with food. I sometimes shake my legs incontrolably and without noticing. I get severe pains in my stomache when I'm anxious. I'm depressive, suicidle and used to cut my wrists.
I live another reality, don't know how to explain that one, but it's like I live another life that only exists in my head, and I can't control it.
These "things" are irritating ppl around me. And as for the imaginating another life, I feel like I'm loosing it.
Please don't tell me to "get help" cause I can't, that's why I'm asking in the first place.

Yes, you possibly have OCD, but other things seem to be happening also. Your legs may be Torettes Syndrome. These two disorders, depression, suicide, cutting are all effected by the chemical seritonium in your brain. they are very closely related and many people have several of these disorders all at once. I know, I do. Life can be very hard. Do you pull out your hair? Living in your head could be a part of OCD, or could be psychotic another type of mental illness and very serious. Tell the people they need to learn about your disorders because at this point you cannot do anything differently. If they get too annoyed with your actions, then just stay away from them. If your family is having problems, then they need to seek information for their and your sake. Why can't you get help? That may be a key to how to help you. You can e-mail me if you wish.

yes, the food thing doesn't sound that severe, but it does bother you to the point where you feel like your day isn't going to go right if you dont fix it. shaking your leg is normal, you need to learn to breath when you get anxious.

now, i dont know if the suicidle and cutting your wrist has to do with with ocd, unless you feel like you need to (again, because your day isn't going to go right), then you really need help, im sorry you dont want to hear that. but if you do it for another reason, then you need to re-evaluate your life. what is so bad in your life that makes you want to hurt yourself, because you want to live the other life you talked about, are you unhappy in your home? if you are, and if its parent or sibling issues, then here is my advise...don't talk back to them, but don't let them push you around and tell you how to think, or what you should do.....this is your life, do what you want......

and death is not the answer. cutting doesn't help the pain, it only hurts you in the long run.

It could be very possible that things like having to your food in seperate sections is a OCD, and shaking your legs along with not being able to stand certain things, but I don't think another reality in your head is...... I'm not too sure about that one sorry

It sounds like you do have some sort of problem. And I think you already know this. You really do need to seek professional help.
The "other life" sounds like it could be schizophrenia, but I can't be sure.

Go to your school sycyatrist.

Or a teacher.

Or anyone

You need help

some of those are obsessions but not necessarly put together to make an obsessive compulsive disorder...but then you haven't said everything..
one example of an OCD behavior:
have breakfast, leave the house, go back, check the stove, leave the house, go back, check the stove, leave the house, go back, leave, etc until you have missed work, being afraid the house would burn...
another:
give a kid a hug who suddenly coughs
go wash your hands
dry them, look at them
wash them
dry again
wash again
etc...

the compulsive part is doing it again and again...

now it does sound like you have some problems, especially with being suicidal...and clearly you mentioned struggling with depression, which is a mental disorder.
I know you said you can't "get help" but can you write it down and send it to someone (your mother, relative, school nurse)?

it is always better to try and find someone that can work through the problems with you than deal with it alone.

hope this helps

ocd is serious and you should not try to diagnose yourself please see someone to be sure you are okay.

you are manifesting definite symptoms of OCD. Repetative motions, traits, or things that one does qualify as ocD if they are uncontrolably conpulsive in thought and nature. OCD is mangable disease with the right therapy and support group. Many people suffer from mild forms of it unaware that they have it.

As for the other symptoms, they are to intertwined with other disease paths to say what they could be. I realize that telling you to seek professional help is not ideal, but talking these things out with a counselor, pastor, minister of even friend can help manage the symptoms.

As a former medical professional, I would urge you to reach out to someone and talk. These are not the type of symptoms you self manage. The hardest step in life is to rach out and seek help, but the most rewarding thing is that's th biggest step in the process.

What you are explaining doesn't sound like OCD. OCD would be frequent handwashing, checking the lights many times to make sure you turned them off, having to touch things a certain way everyday, etc. Things that really interfere with your daily living activities. You just like certain things a certain way. There's nothing wrong with that. Alot of people don't like their foods touching. I think it bothers most people to hear teeth scraping against silverwear. I'm sure there are many foods that people don't care for the sight of. I'm sorry to recommend this but your best bet is to talk it out with a professional. At least they can validate your feelings and let you know what they think the issues may be. Just go once if you like just to hear what they have to say. Some things can't be fixed by yourself. If you are truly depressed ,have suicidal tendencies and have a history of cutting, you may need medication to help you out. To take the edge off of life in general. Please see a professional that deals with social issues if you can't work it out yourself. Try to relax, tell yourself that many people feel the same way you do about the foods and the teeth hitting metal but please talk with a counselor, psychiatrist or psychologist if your feelings don't change or they get worse. Please???
