On Accutane 2 weeks. My skin/ lips are very dry. Wrinkles seem more pronounced.?

Will the wrinkles go back to what they use to be? I was on a $40 a month antibiotic that was doing great keeping my skin clear, but would have had to be on it forever. I dont want to end up with more wrinkles if It could be avoided. At my age I am trying to avoid wrinkles! Please only ladies who have been thru this treatment respond. Preferbly ladies over 35.. Thank you so much!

I'm a pharmacist and a former Accunate patient. I've never heard anything about Accutane making wrinkles look more pronounced until reading your question. I did a medline search and searched the package insert and didn't find anything of note about Accutane causing wrinkles. The only thing I found were some patients online that claimed this from personal experience. Question I have for you... after you moisturize really well, do those wrinkles start to look LESS pronounced? Could it be that they just look worse because your skin is so chapped and dry from the Accunate?
When I took Accutane... Eucerin, Blistex, and nasal saline were my friends. I got a lot of nose bleeds because the insides of my nostrils dried out. In the town I used to work in, a dermatologist was recommending a lip balm that had hydrocortisone in it (Dr. Dan's Cortibalm) to her Accutane patients to reduce the redness and inflammation.
