Is it true that squinting will cause me to have pre mature wrinkles???

i suffer from myopia and i still havent gotten my glasses...and i cant help but squint when i cant see from far away, especially when i have to read signs from far away.....its a bit embarassing (one time a girl thought i was glaring at her but i was looking over her to read the board LOL) but squinting helps me see better. i want to stop doing it though while im waiting for my glasses (it wont be so easy)...but i need my question answered....does squinting cause premature wrinkles around the eyes???

yes it does casue prematire wrinkles around the eyes because you scrunch the skin around your eys when you squint and doing that alot can aid the wrinkles to develop. But since you are getting glasses you will be fine and hopefully wrinkle free becasue they will definitely help your seeing problem eliminating the squinting. :D

yes

Yes but sun exposure is worse.

Yep - and I have them to prove it :(

Definitely it also causes headaches and eyestrain.

Eventually, yes.

So will eyeliner and rubbing off your makeup.

You're more likely to get the wrinkles from too much sun exposure than from squinting. I'm in my late 40s and have been nearsighted since the age of 10. Over the years, I've squinted many times but have not really developed the crow's feet often associated with people my age. I have a slight hint of them but they are not really anything that's too obvious.

yes it will, but only if you have been squinting for years, I don't think that squinting in the two or three weeks that it takes to get your glasses made will make any difference

In short - yes. Smoking makes you squint too.
