Do stressful situations cause wounds?

Hello my ex girlfriend who I hated after seeing with another man after we split called me and told me she had cancer, if we could be friends etc. I definitely don't want to see her. I was sick to my stomach and after that I had wounds on my lips, in my ear and on other parts of my body which healed in 3 weeks. Is this normal?

The only correlation that exists between physical illness and stress is the connection between physiologic changes within your body when you are stressed. Mainly, a depressed immune system is to blame for physical illness associated with stress. Your body is less capable of fighting infection, etc. You need to go through some type of relaxation exercises. You can download sounds, videos, and instructions from sites on the internet. You can also exercise to de-stress, read a book, but make sure you do something to get your mind off of your problem. If you can't do this yourself, you may need to see a healthcare provider.

you were stressed, and without knowing you bruised yourself! The take longer to heal when you are stressed! it is normal. try to calm yourself

yes, they most definitely can.Stress can appear as physical or emotional. Stress is brought about by how we perceive daily events and how we respond to these events.Stress is not always brought about by bad events but also good ones such as weddings or a new baby. Everyone has different stress levels and different ways of coping.
