What foods have vitamins that help heal wounds?

What vitamins should one eat to help aid the healing process of surface wounds and what foods are good sources of such vitamins?

I'm a fan of wheatgrass. Taken like a shot (with an orange to bite afterwards), it's like a few pounds of vegetables in one single swallow. I've heard it's got amazing antioxidents and vitamins and nutrients.

Vitiamin E

Foods with vitamin E, or just take supplements. Vitamin E helps to heal wounds.

i think thats odd to heal wounds from the inside. why not just see a doctor . They have wound specialists

you need to ingest supplements or foods with an antibiotic feature such as tumeric, red clover, garlic, bilberry, astragalus(don't take with a fever)
Natural antibiotics: Goldenseal, biotic silver, olive leaf extract...can be purchased at a health food store.

honey with garlic. internal and external.great as antibiotic too

Healing wounds is a process that is a combination of white blood cells and nutrients that are already present in your body. Both red blood cells and white blood-cells play an important role in the healing process. However, if you want to speed-up the healing process, you can apply an ointment that contains a "tri-antobiotic" solution which does in fact speed the process of healing. the main ingredience found in the process is a substance called "keratin" which is abundant in triantibiotic solutions. There is, in truth, no dietary supliment that a person can "intake" to speedthe process of healing. Your body already has the neccessary ingredients and anticolagulants neccessary for the healing proccesss. All that you can DO is speed-up the proccess by keeping the wound clean and covered with an "tri-antibiotic' which you can pruchase OTC in any drug store. I know these things because some time ago I use to be a male nurse who treated hundreds of open wounds. If you follow these instructions, your open wounds will heals as much as three-times faster rather then the normal process.

If the wound is not getting healed, please check your sugar label. Normally wounds heal within a couple of days. One has to take antibiotic tablets for such wounds for few days. All fruits and vegetables are full of vitamins and help in maintaining good health. Eat lots of fruits, vegetables and salad to get energy. Milk products provide maximum calcium and are also good for health. Dried fruits are another rich source of vitamins.

The antioxidants are important for healing... Eating fresh/raw vegetables and fruits are the best way of getting these healing vitamins... Broccolli and Asparagus fresh are absolutely full of antioxidants.... But a mixture of all vegies and fruits will help. I spit of protein will help also... That is a very small portion of meat or fish is all you need there....

Zinc deficiency usually results from inadequate intake of foods high in zinc, such as seafood, oatmeal, bran, meat, eggs, and nuts, or from impaired absorption caused by short bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, or pancreatic insufficiency. It may also be due to excessive intake of foods containing iron, calcium, vitamin D, and the fiber and phytates in cereals, that bind zinc to form insoluble chelates that prevent its absorption. It occasionally can results from blood loss caused by parasitism. Alcohol, cirrhosis, dialysis, burns, draining wounds, and corticosteroids increase renal excretion of zinc.

When taking zinc supplements, take with meals to prevent gastric distress and vomiting.
Dairy products may hinder zinc absorption
Avoid excess intake of zinc, which can cause GI discomfort.

* With any and all medications, use as prescribe by your doctor.
