Wounds and blood in mouth?

why does blood come from the mouth when someone is wounded? it seems like no matter how someone is wounded they always are coughing up blood.
please give a good reason

ALL OF YOUR ORGANS HAVE BLOOD RUNNING THRU THEM----IF THEY ARE HIT HARD THEY MAY LET OFF BLOOD ESPECIALLY IN THE STOMACH & SPLEEN & INTESTINE ALSO ULCERS MAY BE ENVOLVED WHICH WHEN HIT MAY RUPTURE.....IF THE ORGAN IS

DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO YOUR GASTRO-INTESTINAL SYSTEM IT MAY GO OUT THE OTHER END AS JET BLACK IN COLOR---YOU MAY HAVE INTERNAL BLACK & BLUE MARKS ON YOUR ORGANS WHICH DON'T SHOW BUT HURT........SOMETIMES COUGHING UP BLOOD FROM THE LUNGS COULD BE T.B. OR A HOST OF OTHER POSSIBILITIES...........

Internal bleeding?

If they get blood in their lungs, for example if there is a lung puncture, they can cough up blood. It's also possible to "cough up" blood from a nosebleed or a wound in the mouth, if it gets into the windpipe and makes you cough. I suspect it happens a lot on TV because it looks so dramatic.

In Hollywood, everybody bleeds from the mouth. It's a great, visually compelling image. You can get shot in the leg and you can bleed from the mouth.

In reality, any injury to the mouth may result in bleeding from the mouth. Internally, if you get shot or stabbed, and if the wound track transects the esophagus, stomach, lungs, or the trachea, then yeah, you'll bleed from the mouth. Gastro-Intestional injuries or severe peptic ulcers can cause you to bleed.

And lastly, if you happen to get infected with Pneumonia, Ebola, or other respiratiory disease and you let it go untreated, your alveoli in the lungs will back up, producing frothy pink sputum. This will manifest itself as bleeding from the mouth.
