My wounds take very long to heal, are my organs failing on me? |
I'm 26 this yr. Lately I found myself healing very slowly from cuts. For example... 2 month ago, I fell and got a slight cut on my leg. It looks like a scar now but it's only a surface wound. I worried my organs are failing cos I did not take Hep B Jab and other preventive measures. have you been checked for diabetics lately? you should. they say thats the first sign of a diabetic is that the cut or sore take a long time to heal. but at 26 i doubt it if your organs are failing you. have those checked also. Highly unlikely. Maybe you are bit immuno - suppressed. Do you exercise excessively? But maybe its just a phase when you are a bit down health wise. I really don't think that you have hepatitis. You probably just aren't eating a good enough diet. I you don't already, start taking daily vitamins every morning. Also, use medicine on any cuts or scratches that you get, no matter how small. You need to be tested for diabetes. Get a check up from your Dr. Poor healing of wounds can be caused be diabetes. Are you thirsty all the time and pee alot...blurry vision? are you taking care of your wounds ? cleaning them, changing bandages, antibiotic cream ? you might want to get your blood sugar checked. |
