Australia, whooping cough epidemic in 1996?

in 1996 my 10week old baby caught whooping cough, she was in hospital for 10days, and fully recovered, lucky she had her first set of immunisations as the drs said they saved her life, it was all over the news while i was in hospital, some babies died, just wondering if anyone was affected by whooping cough in 1996-97

Sorry I have no idea. My babies were born in Australia in 2003 and 2005 and they were vaccinated.
