Does anyone know if there is a link between whooping cough and epilepsy?

my son had whooping cough vaccine 2 months ago and since then suffered seizures, had eeg and dr wants him on epilim........... just trying to find out more.

The pertussis is a whole-cell vaccine. Whole cell vaccines have been linked to seizures, a confirmed link that the CDC admits to. They say there is no evidence of onset of epilepsy, but it can neither be confirmed nor denied as they have not done enough research to confirm a link.
I suggest going to http://www.mother.com/discussions and visit the Vaccinations section there. There are a lot of moms who have vaccine damaged kids there who can lead you in the right direction for information and reporting this reaction to VAERS.
