Has anyone heard of outbreaks of Whooping Cough in your area either in Children or Adults?

I just read an article at the Mayo Clinic site that Whooping Cough is the worse it has been in 40 years, and is Highly Contagious.

I'm just curious of how many of you have heard of such cases in your respective areas. Please share with me from what State you live in if you can affirm that you know of or have heard of cases of Whooping Cough. This would be appreciated. If you don't mind, please share what town or city you live in or nearest large city.

Whooping Cough is "Highly" Contagious, and it can also cause serious complications and in some cases be fatal.

I didn't ask anyone for their address and even asked just nearest largest city so I got an idea of where Whooping Cough is spreading.

There was just a breakout in Niles Illinois. Very close to Chicago. Quite a few number of students got it and the school was shut down for a day.

yes all of those diseases are on the rise again as so many parents won't immunise their children any more.
