I just got a whooping cough shot now my arm is so sore i can not hardly move it is this normal?

It is quite normal for there to be a moderate level of discomfort, the shot is given in the muscle and is one of the more painful vaccinations.
You may find that a warm compress is soothing, you can take Advil (Ibuprofen) or Tylenol (Acetaminophen) to help with the pain. If it's not better within the next couple of days, call your doctor for further information.
