No. They are 2 different diseases. Whooping cough is pertussus. The various DPT (diphteria, pertussis, tetanus) immunizations help prevent whooping cough.

No, but im sure you must have had all your DPT shots ,at least i would hope so and that is what prevents whooping cough.
