Whiplash- treatment etc?

i suffered whiplash about a month ago. At first, I only had neck pain and some back pain. ABout a week ago, I started having this weird feeling in my head, doctor said it was anxiety. Also, when I peed I felt a strange sensation in the back of my head. I also felt tingling in the arms, legs, and my face/jaw. I also slightly felt my face/jaw getting numb.
I still have some lingering slight headache, neck pain and back pain.
How's my development? Do u guys think it's serious?

Also how can I make sure that there was no major damage done to my brain, lower back or neck? Should I get a MRI etc?

Thx for the responses. How do I get the numbness/tingling treated? through a chirpractor?

Yes you should get to an orthopedic doctor. You need physical therapy. Whiplash is very painful.

I hope you feel better soon!

You need to see a different physician immediately! The problems you are describing are classic neurological problems. It IS POSSIBLE that they are exaggerated by anxiety, but you need to have physical issues ruled out before you are treated for the anxiety issues. And one can play into the other. IE anxiety can amplify the real symptoms of a problem, and a real problem can cause anxiety...

If your having numbness... It sounds like you could have nerve damage.. I would make an appointment with your doctor again and ask him how to proceed from here.. Its possible that he may refer you to a specialist, who is more familiar with your symptoms and who can correctly treat you. Good Luck

did you also go to a chiropractor? were you in a car accident? sounds like issues that are related to whiplash, and you are haveing nerves that are being pinched, it can be serious if you dont have it treated. chiros should take an exray of you and usually if they need too can send you out for an mri, which will see more as far as tissues damage. you have a lot of nerves that come out of your neck that do control face, arms , jaw, as far as your legs sounds like you have lower injury also, i work for a chiropractor, iam a massage therapist, and we incorperate both therapys to help people recover. chiros work with the bones and we work with all the soft tissues. you definitly need to go, dont know what kind of treatment you have had so far.
