Whiplash....?? |
I have very bad pain on the left side of my neck which was caused by a car accident. A couple of months ago, my left arm and hand gets all numb all the time and now really bad headaches. My family doctor said it's all caused by my neck injury but does nothing. She told me that if I start losing strenght in my arm to tell her immediately. I can't take more pain medication because I'm already taking 2- 500 mg of naproxen a day. What am I supposed to do, stay like that? Am I going to be paralysed in that arm? I don't know what to do anymore. I have tried changing doctors but none accept new patients. I did do physio for over 6 months and it didn't help at all! Sounds like whiplash to me.Your doc should be sending you to physical therapy, You have to ask. Complain alot. Muscle relaxers might help as well. it could be your nerves. try seeing or being refered to a nurologist they deal with nerve conditions. Skip the PT, you need to see a chiropractor. They can put your neck in place in a matter of minutes. I broke my neck in a car wreck just over a year ago, and I still need to see my chiropractor about once a month. Dr's and chiropractors don't get along well, that's why your dr never told you to go to one. Trust me, it's gonna help you to go! |
