What causes a whiplash? Is there any way to stop them?

I always get extremely bad whiplashes. They leave me with a kind of "burning" sensation on one side of my face and I feel like I have a hole in my tongue. Is this just a whiplash or something else?

whiplash is caused by a sudden stop...like when a car just comes to a screeching halt.

u need to do some research on whiplash cause u don't get on your own u need to be in a sudden stop where your body stays put and your head is jerked forward or backward suddenly.
