Whiplash and nausea? |
I went to the doctor and explained I felt sick as well as probably had whiplash due to a fall, she did not mention that the nausea could be due to damage to vertebrae? She just arranged a load of blood tests. Should I see a chiropractor? yes a chiroprator is a very good idea. Are you sure its whiplash? If you banged your head in the fall you may have a concussion. Speak to your doctor again when the blood tests come back. if it makes you happy If after trauma you feel nauseated, you may have broken a bone. Get an x-ray of your vertebrae - it's a good thing you didn't have the x-ray immediately as hairline fractures don't show up immediately. Whether you choose a chiropractor or an MD, either can order x-rays, go and get one done. You may have a fracture that needs to be identified. It's usually not a bad thing - these fractures can heal very well and you may be unaware of its existence. You could feel sick because any strain can be a shock to your system and that may be your bodys reaction to the stress. As far as whiplash did your neck bounce back and forth and back and forth when you fell? I got whiplash when I was 18 an someone rear ended me. my neck went back and forth and so on. If you have a damaged verrtebae then DON"T go to a chiropractor. only go to them if it is out of place. |
