Whiplash Injury (soft tissue damage) I don't know what to do about my neck pain?

I'm sixteen and I was in a pretty bad car accident 3 months ago.(I was in the passenger's seat). The car was so badly damaged it could not be fixed. I went to the doctor, shortly afterwards and was told I had a whiplash injury and soft tissue damage. I had been going to physiotherapy for the first two months after my accident, which was my first treatment plan. The insurance company did not approve my second treatment plan, which was highly reccomended by my doctors. So now, I am not getting any treatment and I am in a LOT of pain. What can I do to relieve my pain? and what are the long term effects that I might suffer?

Soft Tissue usually needs anti-inflammatory drugs along with PT. The drugs help stop the inflammation, so I am surprised you were not given any. If the neck is still painful see the Doc. Best of Luck

i got whiplash about a year ago. i had chronic neck pain up until about a few weeks ago. i always took tylenol whenever i was in pain

I was in a car accident recently so I totally understand your frustration and pain.

Can you see a chiropractor? I don't know where you live or what coverage you have..but a chiropractor can do wonders. Massage can also help...especially if you can have a sauna first...hot tubs can also help.

Make sure you tell any one who is doing work on you that you have suffered neck injuries, so that they know and won't cause any more injury by accident.

I know how whiplash is. it takes a while to heal but chiropractor help heal it sooner.

Also it helps with the pain and will not need to take drugs for pain.

You not need insurance to see a chiropractor.

Just go see chiropractor and self pay for treatment and I am telling you feel a lot better.
