Why Adam's Apple spasms when i turn neck, this happened after whiplash kind of accident.why? |
in 2003 i stepped off a ladder without care, and landed, hard on the ground, and i got a pretty painful whiplash kind of injury. a few weeks after i noticed that when i would turn my head to the right, i would feel a spasm in my addam's aple area. It got better, to the point where neck was fine, and i didn't even have tht adam apple sensation. But just yesterday i got another whiplash kind of injury, it was much less painful, but it happened as i was breaking a big tree branch. Now i'm feeling adam's apple spasms too, is there some relation between the back of the neck being injured and the spasming on my addam's apple when i turn the neck? Spasms of muscles are the result ot innervation of the nerve that supplies that area.. Whiplash injury is more than just soft tissue injury.. When those muscles are injured they go into a rather severe contraction..and they fasten on to bones.. the bones will accordingly move. In this instance we are talking about the vertebrae of the neck.. thus nerve involvement |
