I was in a car accident 2 weeks ago, i was rear ended. I had whiplash. Now i have clear liquid from my nose? But the accident was 2 weeks ago, is it from the accident or just a cold? I was reading that if in an accident liquid forms within a few hours. I have clear fluid running from my nose as i speak. And its running alot. Please help , thnx

Go quickly to a doctor!

Tell a lawyer, they'll be all over what it is

go to the doctor and call your insurance company. And tell em both that you think this is from the accident.

You have a cold. It's clear liquid so it's not even a sinus infection. It would only be related to the accident if it happened right after wards and you had a head injury.

it might be very odd if it was cerebrospinal fluid, especially since the accident took place 2 weeks ago. If you don't have any other sign pointing it could be an allergy or a cold, i'd go to the ER and have a beta-2-transferrin test to see if it really is from a tear in your dura.

It sounds like cerebral spinal fluid and you definitely need to go see a doctor now. Don't put this off this is the fluid that is in your brain. Complications can and do happen weeks after an accident.

well if it is not snot, sorry to be blunt, then you should call or go se your dr asap.

What could you have done to prevent this accident from occurring? The definition of a defencive driver is: One who drives so as to prevent accidents in spite of the incorrect actions of others. Why didn't you move out of the way? Were you preoccupied with other things? Were you talking on your cell phone, reading the paper, playing on your computer, or was it something else. Seems like I'm not getting the question, doesn't it? Oh I get it! These are some of the questions you'll be asked if you go to court. Here's my best advice. Take a couple of Dristan for your cold, drink lots of fluids, and get some rest. It appears that the whiplash affected more than just your neck.

taste it. If it is salty, then it is mucous. If it is bitter, then it is CS fluid.
