Can I run for 3 miles, 2 weeks after a whiplash?

I had a whiplash in a car accident and I saw a chiropractor once. The pain is bigger if I bow my head backward or forward, but it's ok when I hold my head straight. I was running 3 miles per week before the accident. I can run with my head straight.

I personally would leave it a couple of weeks to let the muscles repair themselves or anything like that but hey its up to you. Have you not spoken to a doctor about it?
