I have whiplash does anyone know what I should do for the pain?

Well I was involved in a car accident (not my fault) where I t-boned someone and I'm feeling the effects today...Can someone tell me what to do about my back/neck pain...Thanks in advance

Yes it was investigated by police (but we all felt ok at the accident...but now my back is killing me)

Stop what you're doing and go to the ER ASAP.

Don't take pain meds until a Dr. says it's ok. You may have a concusion as well.

Whiplash injuries can worsen and be potentially life threatening. You may not feel pain right away but you could possibly break bones in your spine and they can potentially damage your spinal cord.

There are other things that can happen as a result of fairly low velocity impacts.

I am a neuromuscular massage therapist. This is my specialty. I don't treat people with whiplash until they are cleared by their Dr. It is very dangerous.

After you are cleared for massage, see a massage therapist trained in Neuromuscular Therapy. The muscles of the neck and back tense up to protect your spine and can stay that way until treated properly.

If left untreated, they can cause other pains and changes in your spinal alignment which can lead to other conditions.

I don't want to scare you but it may be better that I do. I'd rather you get checked out to be fine than not checked out and injured.

Good Luck! Get going. You may want to have someone drive you...

Use the Muscle relaxant, Soma Watson. http://www.nextdaysoma.net/ind... . I was in an accident and Soma was the ONLY Rx med that would help me. I buy Soma online from NextdaySoma.Net. Next day Soma is US licensed and located and ship FAST. FREE Rx with every Order! Report It

Better go get it checked out, my whiplash turned out to be two ruptured discs in my neck.

Go and see your Doctor you need a neck brace, and also get in touch with a lawyer. Was the accident investigated by the police?

Sorry you were hurt. I would take some Advil/Tylenol for the pain. Apply a heating pad or bengay lineament to the area where you feel stiff. It probably would help to get in a nice warm shower and if you have an adjustable shower head set it to massage. Has a doctor checked you out? Sometimes they will prescribe a muscle relaxer and pain pills if needed. Feel better soon.

Well if I were you I would go to the ER just for insurance reasons. Also heat might help if you don't want to go to the ER. It may take a few day or weeks for it to heal.
