Do they make "skis" that attach to wheelchairs so they can be helped slide down stairs in high-rise fires inst

...instead of going bumpety-bump-bump bump?

I knew someone was gonna say it'd go down too fast. It won't go down too fast because there will be a person helping them down.

Actually, I have seen luggage boxes that have three wheels each side and they are positioned so the person going up the stairs just keeps on pulling the luggage and it will go up the stairs as the wheels alternate on one another, same way it'll go down the stairs. Seeying it would be easier than explaining it, each of the 3 wheel set are positioned so that on flat, two wheels are touching one in front and one at the rear and the third is up to form a triangle. When you come ut to some steps the front wheel touches it and stops, but the top wheel goes onto the first step, then the rear wheel comes up and so on, I guess it's easy to build some for a wheelchair but am not sure how it'll perform without an extra person controlling it. Mind you with skis it'd be uncontrollably fast just the same.

they can put skies on wheel chairs but i doubt they are used for that consindering the fire escape stairs are really steep.

Every apartment building that is handicapped accessible has to have a step chair. It is basically a chair that you get strapped into and firefighters and EMS personel can grab a hold of and get the person down the stairs while lifting them comfortably and easily.
