I tested positive for West Nile Virus, but I don't have it now, what can I expect 4 the rest of my life?

I can't find any articles stating how the West Nile Virus affects the body once it's been contracted and overcome. I need some advice as to what I may expect later in life, if it will ever affect me again, or if I have built immunity from ever contracting it again. Any advice, experience with WNV, or doctors with experience in this illness is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had West Nile (Meningitis) last August. Symptoms lasted through November. There are 3 phases, West Nile Virus Fever (mild flu-like symptoms), West Nile Meningitis which affects the external brain membranes and West Nile Encephalitis which is the most deadly form. There is great debate as to whether or not a person becomes immune from becoming symptomatic once they've had the virus. The reason is that the virus has not been in this country long enough to do true studies. There is a wonderful site to go to with other West Nile Survivors ... we all listen to each other and answer questions about our own experiences with this virus:http://p102.ezboard.com/bwestnilevirussu...

We had a case of West Nile Virus diagnosed here in Canada, the girl works with me. When she first got it she was very run down. She overcame it with medical assistance. The one thing I remember her telling me is that it will have lasting effects over the next 7 years. Don't get over worked, don't get too exhausted. This apparently will bring it on, again.
