Could my 14 month old have west nile virus??? |
Maybe I'm just being a paranoid mom but i know there's something wrong with my daughter. She spent the day with her Grandmother yesterday and when she got home around 7:30 PM she seemed a little sick. She has 2 bug bites. All she would do was cry, she didn't want anyone to hold her, but she didn't want to by herself either. My daughter does throw her tantrums from time to time but this was clearly something different. She felt as if she had a fever, but I took her temperature and it was only 98.6. In the past I've noticed whenever I get a cold, my daughter has one too. She had a little bit of a runny nose, and I have had a sore throat for a while, so I gave her some Tylenol cold & cough for infants. My husband and I put her to bed around 8:00 pm, she was up about 6 times screaming for about 15 minutes at a time throughout the night. Then she ended up sleeping for 17 hours! She's up now, and still not normal, very clingy, won't stop crying... Does that sound anything like west nile? Diagnosis by Internet doesn't work well. |
