What's going on healthwise in your area? Are you seeing any news reports on Lyme disease or West Nile Virus? |
Be very specific, about what health issues, are going on in this area of CA. I left Denver last year to come to Miami. I haven't heard of Lyme disease or WNV since I arrived. The local politicians have a bad case of hoof-in-mouth. I live in Southeastern New Mexico and we are in the middle of a West Nile warning. Trucks drive down the street spraying insecticide all day. I am unaware of any West Nile cases in my city or the surrounding areas. Houston, Texas is where I live and we had our 1st confirmed case of West Nile last week, with another 4 suspected cases. Spraying has stepped up in the area. We don't really have to worry about Lyme disease in Houston, so I can't help you on that one. I read an article in the paper today about West Nile. They said it's supposed to be the worst season ever for it. In Idaho, the news reported tonight that there are now 11 confirmed cases of WNV, but on the Idaho H&W site, they are listing eight. Canyon County in SW Idaho did an aerial spray for the first time this season on much of the County. |
