What are major differences between West Nile Virus and Hansen Disease (Leprosy)?

Any difference will do, but im looking for MAJOR ones. Thanxs!!!

MOST MAJOR DIFFERENCE: West Nile is caused by a VIRUS of the flavivirus group. It is an encephalitis complex of viruses that mainly effects birds but can infect other mammals. It cannot be treated as it is a virus. It is transmitted via mosquito with viral particles in the blood. The disease has a rapid onset & progression. This is a relative old virus, developing about 1000 years ago; but isolated in Uganda in 1937. Causes a febrile, encephalitis stage, lymphadeniitis etc. & then resolves.

Hansens is caused by MYCOBACTERIUM LEPRAE--which is a mycobacteria; considered a slow-growing, fastidious bacteria with a waxy cell wall. The only other animal besides man that can contract leprosy is the armadillo, the chimp, the macques, and the mangabeys (monkeys). It can be treated with rifampin and dapsone. Exact transmission is unknown; possibly direct contact with transmission through nasal mucosa and skin contact. The disease is very slow developing and never resolves without treatment. This disease is very old, being reported in the middle ages.

The diseases these two cause are totally different in there onset, symptomology, acute stage and resolution etc.

West Nile virus is transmitted by mosquitoes. If you become infected with West Nile virus, you may not experience any signs or symptoms or you may only experience minor ones such as a skin rash and headache. However, some people who become infected with West Nile virus develop a life-threatening illness that includes inflammation of the brain.

Although the mode of transmission of Hansen's disease remains uncertain, most investigators think that M. leprae is usually spread from person to person in respiratory droplets
This chronic infectious disease usually affects the skin and peripheral nerves but has a wide range of possible clinical manifestations. Patients are classified as having paucibacillary or multibacillary Hansen's disease. Paucibacillary Hansen's disease is milder and characterized by one or more hypopigmented skin macules. Multibacillary Hansen's disease is associated with symmetric skin lesions, nodules, plaques, thickened dermis, and frequent involvement of the nasal mucosa resulting in nasal congestion and epistaxis.
