How do mosquitoes come to carry West Nile Virus? |
Are they bitting something else that already is carrying it or what? First the disease originated in Africa and was brought over due to increased global travel (not necessarily bad, unless you are a eco-brat). Once it arrived in the US, then the mosquito bites the infected person and then spreads the disease via blood mixing. It is similar to how AIDS is spread with dirty needles. Yes, they bite other things that have it, generally birds. infected birds and other animals They go after infected animals that carry viruses and diseses and then bite humans and the virus spreads. They bite infected birds and then they bite you. they are biting the birds that have the virus so they get the virus from biting the bird By biting a animal , usually a bird or a person, with west Nile first then you second. They "share" the blood taken first with you when they take yours. Kinda like STDs, share and share alike! terrorist breeding |
