What do i do if I think I have west nile virus?

I have the symptoms but its been about 3 weeks since I had a bit. So do I have it or just the flu?

Go to a doctor.

move to egypt.

OMFG GO TO TEH HOPSICKEL UR GUNNA DYE

GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!

soak in a tub full of beer and it should take care of it

call your er at hospital and ask questions if you do you need to go now!

theres nothing u can do, but dont worry unless you have a weak immune system your body will fight it off if you feel weak visit a doctor

Go and have your doctor check it out and run the blood test, but don't stress about it too much!! It will take a week or two to even get your results (cause they have to be sent to the CDC), so dont worry too much about it.

Depending on your symptoms, it could be something else as well. My specialist last year thought I had West Nile, as my symptoms were considerable fatigue and a low grade fever and little else (but it had lasted for several weeks and although it had been after a strep infection, id gone through three courses of antibiotics without any change); before he thought this however, I'd also been tested for a lot of other things, like Lupus and Mono.

He informed me that almost all West Nile cases are treatable without any serious complications. It is a virus so there's not too much you can do, but at least you'll know whats wrong with you, but very few people develop any serious illness. My case actually turned out to be human Parvo, which is pretty rare in adults (just like West Nile) and similarly also, its a virus and theres little you can do. And it sucks, but its not nearly as serious as it could be!!

Good luck and just talk with your doctor!
