Weight training-One problem, I don't have weights.?

I need to do some weight training with my cardio...but I don't own weights, nor can i go to a gym cuz I'm 13 and home alone with my 11 yr old sister, and i cant go anywhere by myself, or to a gym, would doing push ups and crunches n things be enough like an alternative to weight training? I really wanna lose fat and build muscle... what can i do as an alternative that has the same benefits as weights?

ooh-- i dont reccomend doing weight at your age. Your bones are still growing and developing. We wouldnt want you with "monkey-arm" do we. (Guys who tend to do weight training at an early age have longer arms.)

What you can use though is your body weight. :)

It is natural and safe!

For you arms-- do tricep push ups
Chest-- wide pushups
butt, legs n thighs- Squats & lunges
tummy- planks, sit ups, curls, side planks

*Check out the web to see images of these and how to do them properly. :) Good luck!

Exercise combined with a healthy meal & vitamins! You can never go wrong in keeping fit.

you answered your own question. stick to original body workouts. push ups, sit ups, and squats. there are more, look 'em up.

Pushup are good for back, chest arms. Don't go for speed. Keep back, hips, and knees straight, if you can.

Legs and hips, step up onto a chair and back down again. Slowly.

You could also use milk-jugs, and fill them with tap-water. You can easily make them heavier, and they have good handles. Plus, if you get thirsty...problem solved!

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Try the Y.
