Wondering what type of weight-training equipment to buy? |
I am serious about starting weight-training, into my fitness plan. I want one for home use. First, I considered getting a basic, weight-bench for this, but I am not so sure, now . .if this will do. My goal is to weight-train for building strength, but slightly building lean, toned muscles . . . not for big, bulging muscles. I am a petite, but healthy-weight woman, who is aiming for lean, feminine look, but strong build. You can always start with resistance bands. They're less than $30 and they pack easily for travel. They work the same way as weights. |

Imo, cardio is good for overall health and lowering body fat but not for body toning. Thats what weights are for. To give your body a toned look, you need something underneath the skin/fat to give ... You should be fine. If you were 10 to 12 and you work out very hard it can stunt growth. You 16 and will be fine. You will grow even if you work out hard all of the time, go nuts ...You should see or at least feel result in just a couple weeks. If not, you aren't working out correctly.
