Lose weight by weight training????


Ok so I lost weight all over by doing cardio which kinda sucked cuz I lost part of my booty lol. Well I still want to lose a little bit of (10lbs) but none from my butt. I read somewhere that u can lose weight by weight training. Heck how do jlo and beyonce do it??? So what kind of weight training do I need to do??? How much??? And whats crazy is that a few yrs ago when I weighed 90lbs (I sooo dont anymore) I had a HUGE butt maybe a little too big but it was genetic cuz I was really skinny but now that Im losing weight its coming off y??? Im not trying to weigh 90lbs ever again eww lol. I just need sum help plz!!!

Wait I need pple to explain what weight training is like bench pressing just lifting weights??? Like what kind of equipment do I need to buy?

Imo, cardio is good for overall health and lowering body fat but not for body toning. Thats what weights are for. To give your body a toned look, you need something underneath the skin/fat to give you shape, which is muscle.

Weight training can be bench pressing, pull ups, dumbell curls, squats (like the others said...good for the butt), shoulder pressing, tricep kickbacks, calf raises, leg curls, ab work. Basically anything you want. Dont get scared that you'll get too big and manly looking... its virtually impossible without years of bodybuilding and multiple doses of hgh and steroids.

Weight lifting helps you lose body fat by increasing the amount of calories that your body needs to maintain its new level of muscle. So if you keep eating the same, but gain some muscle and lose some fat, then you'll lose even more fat and look more toned.

Cardio was a good choice all you want to do now is tone. Try doing lighter weights don't over do it or you will end up gaining more muscle mass and become bulky. I would suggest cardio as well as some weight lifting.

if u want a workout 4 your butt..do lots of squats and lunges! and weight training, any kind will help, arms, legs etc. just remember not to do it everyday, your muscles need time to rest. again, for your butt, do lots and lots of squats!

the only way you can use weights for weight loss is by using light weights and increase the repartition.we are talking lots of of fast reps.try circuit training

Hmm, well every time I work out on the eliptical for a couple weeks, my butt gets bigger. Any kind of weight lifting will burn some calories, but not nearly as much as cardio. The squats idea is a good one.

Cardio is always a great choice to loose fat. But you will definately have to tone down what you eat. Weight training does help you lose weight but it can also help make you look bigger as you are putting on muscle under the fat.

If you want to keep that booty, i would also suggest that you do some squats and hit up the stair machine.

A good detox can help flush your colon and help you lose up to 10 lbs but afterward you will have to really watch what you eat to control your weight.
